type: basic meta: summary: | Liu et al, Human Development Multiomic Atlas, Nature 2026 description: | The study presents a single-cell multiomic atlas of human fetal development across 12 organs—adrenal gland, brain, eye, heart, liver, lung, muscle, skin, spleen, stomach/oesophagus, thymus, and thyroid—spanning post-conception weeks 10 to 23. It characterizes how gene expression and chromatin accessibility vary across developing tissues and cell populations, providing a broad view of the molecular and regulatory programs that shape human development. The study uses SHARE-seq, which jointly measures RNA expression and ATAC chromatin accessibility in the same cells. The final atlas contains 817,740 cells from 76 tissue samples obtained from 23 individuals. Cells were classified into 203 detailed cell clusters across the 12 organs. In this resource, pseudobulk accessibility-related tracks are provided for 186 of these clusters. The data are organized into four main resource groups. **atac\_fragments** and **rna\_expression\_matrix** each contain 82 matched sample-level resources generated from SHARE-seq. atac\_fragments contains the single-cell chromatin-accessibility fragment data, while rna\_expression\_matrix contains the corresponding RNA expression matrices from the same samples. The final atlas reported in the paper contains 76 tissue samples. Six additional processed sample entries are present in the deposited data but are not included in the final sample table.
**pseudobulk\_accessibility** contains 558 cell-cluster-level bigWig resources organized first by organ and then by cluster. The collection contains 186 organ-specific clusters in total (4 Adrenal, 18 Brain, 19 Eye, 16 Heart, 14 Liver, 17 Lung, 22 Muscle, 19 Skin, 11 Spleen, 22 Stomach, 17 Thymus, and 7 Thyroid clusters). Each cluster contains three tracks. obs\_pval\_signal, representing observed ATAC accessibility; mean\_pred\_corrected, representing ChromBPNet-predicted accessibility; and mean\_counts\_contribs, representing nucleotide-level contribution scores from the ChromBPNet model. This gives 186 clusters x 3 tracks = 558 resources. The paper defines 203 L1 clusters overall, while these pseudobulk accessibility-related tracks are available for 186 clusters.
The **supplementary\_table** collection contains 15 resources. These correspond to supplementary tables S1-S14, with supplementary table S8 represented as two separate resources, S8.1 and S8.2.
